Joint events are organ­ised with the Jew­ish Acad­e­my of the Cen­tral Coun­cil of Jews in Ger­many, such as the series of study days “1700 Jahre Jüdis­ches Leben in Deutsch­land – 117 Jahre Jüdis­che Filmgeschichte” and film seminars.

INSTITUTE FOR JEWISH AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF POTSDAM
A teach­ing part­ner­ship in the field of Jew­ish film is being estab­lished with the Insti­tute for Jew­ish and Reli­gious Stud­ies at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Pots­dam. The inter­dis­ci­pli­nary BA sem­i­nar “Jew­ish Film – Out­line of a His­to­ry” took place in the win­ter semes­ter of 2020/2021 and the inter­dis­ci­pli­nary MA sem­i­nar “Audio­vi­su­al Rec­ol­lec­tion Of The Shoah. From Com­pi­la­tion Films To Tik­Tok Chal­lenges” in the 2021 sum­mer semester.

JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL BERLIN BRANDENBURG
The research group is work­ing with the JFBB on work­shops that are offered dur­ing the fes­ti­val and fur­ther joint event for­mats for trans­fer projects are also being developed.

SELMA STERN CENTER FOR JEWISH STUDIES BERLIN-BRANDENBURG
Mem­bers of the junior research group are part of the work­ing group “Film and Media” at the Sel­ma Stern Cen­ter that meets while the uni­ver­si­ty is in ses­sion. Joint­ly organ­ised events such as the Blankensee Col­lo­qui­um (Jan 2020) and the Doc­tor­ate Col­lo­qui­um “Jew­ish Film” (2022) are also held.

VISION KINO – FILM MACHT MUT
The project “Film Macht Mut” focus­es on the cri­tique of racism and anti-Semi­tism in film edu­ca­tion. In coop­er­a­tion with Vision Kino, the research project “What is Jew­ish Film” is devel­op­ing an advanced train­ing pro­gram for teach­ers on the top­ic of “Anti-Semi­tism in Film”.
“Film Macht Mut” is a project of Vision Kino in coop­er­a­tion with SchulKi­noWochen and is fund­ed by the Fed­er­al Gov­ern­ment Com­mis­sion­er for Cul­ture and the Media.
